A tiger reserve in the Aravallis with a restored tiger population, forts and the Kankwadi fort.
Sariska Tiger Reserve is about 110 km from Jaipur and reintroduced tigers from 2008. Safaris run in the morning and afternoon in the core zone, with bookings through the forest department. The reserve also holds Kankwadi Fort, the Neelkanth temples and abundant birdlife, with leopards, sambar and nilgai. Safari rates differ by nationality and vehicle, so current rates should be confirmed on the booking portal. Most visitors stay overnight, but a long day trip is possible. The reserve is closed to safaris during the monsoon months.
