The Pomeranian Voivodeship (Pomorskie) is Poland's Baltic coast region, centred on the Tricity of Gdańsk, Sopot and Gdynia. It combines Gdańsk's rebuilt Hanseatic Main Town, the Teutonic fortress of Malbork, the sandy Hel Peninsula, the moving dunes of Słowiński National Park and the lake-studded villages of Kashubia and Kociewie.

Day trip tips
Make the most of your excursions.
Check the Polregio timetable for the specific date: Hel and Leba services change between summer and autumn.
Malbork Castle visits are by audio guide or guide; arrive when the ticket office opens, since entry slots are limited on summer weekends.
Stutthof is a place of remembrance; the museum is free but opens 8:00-15:00 from 1 October to 30 April.
Avoid driving to Hel on summer weekends; the train or boat is more reliable than the single road.
Slowinski National Park trail fees apply on certain sections from 1 May to 30 September.
Bus 870 to Sztutowo has far fewer departures on Sundays; confirm the return bus before leaving the museum.
