The Pomeranian Voivodeship (Pomorskie) is Poland's Baltic coast region, centred on the Tricity of Gdańsk, Sopot and Gdynia. It combines Gdańsk's rebuilt Hanseatic Main Town, the Teutonic fortress of Malbork, the sandy Hel Peninsula, the moving dunes of Słowiński National Park and the lake-studded villages of Kashubia and Kociewie.
Accommodation overview
Pomeranian accommodation is concentrated in the Tricity of Gdańsk, Sopot and Gdynia, where international chains and five-star waterfront hotels sit beside small Old Town hotels and guesthouses. Gdańsk's Main Town and Granary Island offer the most sightseeing convenience, Sopot has the grand beachfront hotels, and Gdynia is generally calmer and cheaper. Summer is the peak season on the Hel Peninsula, in Łeba and along the Sopot seafront, so prices rise sharply from July to August. Malbork has small hotels within walking distance of the castle, and the Kashubian Lake District offers quiet hotels and wellness guesthouses a short drive west of Gdańsk.

Check rates on Booking.comBooking tips
Get the best deals and avoid common mistakes.
Book Tricity beach hotels well ahead for July and August, when Sopot, Jastarnia and Łeba fill first.
Gdańsk, Sopot and Gdynia are linked by SKM and PKM commuter trains, so a base in any of them works for all three.
Hel Peninsula and Łeba hotels are cheaper and less crowded in June and September.
Malbork is an easy day trip from Gdańsk by train, so staying overnight there is optional.
Check whether breakfast is included; rates are indicative and change by date, so confirm on the hotel's own site or a booking platform.
A small per-person local tax may be added at check-in in some resort towns.
