This flat seafront walk follows Boulevard de la Croisette from the Palais des Festivals to the Pointe de la Croisette and the Palm Beach casino, about 3 km one way in Cannes. The promenade is paved and level, lined with palm trees, beach clubs, palace hotels and public beach access points, and it is the easiest way to see the setting of the Film Festival. Beyond the Carlton and Martinez hotels the path continues to the Pointe de la Croisette, a short rocky promontory with views to the Lérins Islands and the Esterel. Public beaches are free, while private beach clubs charge for sun loungers. The route has no shade, so summer walks are best taken at dawn or dusk. Benches, kiosks and bus stops are frequent, which makes it easy to shorten the walk and return by bus.
