Rooms City Central Old Town

Rooms City Central Old Town is a budget accommodation at U Pilama 7/a, a few steps inside the Pile Gate in the Old Town of Dubrovnik, Croatia, about 30 metres from Pile Bay. The location is hard to beat for sightseeing: the Stradun, the city walls entrance, the Onofrio Fountain and the main bus stops outside the gate are all within a couple of minutes on foot. The Old Town is pedestrian-only, so the property is reached on foot, and the entrance has little signage, which makes it hard to find on first arrival. The building is a typical Old Town stone house, and the rooms are basic and functional rather than stylish. Accommodation includes private Double and Triple Rooms with private bathrooms, plus some dorm beds. Air conditioning, wifi, towels and luggage storage are provided, and the luggage storage helps guests arriving early or leaving late. There is no restaurant or breakfast service on site, but the Old Town has dozens of cafes, bakeries and restaurants within a few minutes' walk, and a produce market operates nearby. There is no pool, spa or gym. Service is minimal, with limited reception hours, so guests should arrange arrival times in advance. Rates are low by Old Town standards, commonly about €50-130 per night, with July and August at the top. The appeal is the position inside the walls at a modest price, which suits solo travellers, couples and groups of friends who plan to spend most of the day outdoors. Light sleepers should note that the Old Town is lively in the evenings, particularly in summer. Stairs and uneven stone lanes are part of the experience of staying here.
