A large Buddhist art palace opened in 2008 beside the Grand Buddha, with a gilded domed hall, carved screens and a theatre.
The Lingshan Brahma Palace (Lingshan Fanggong) is a Buddhist art complex built in 2008 for the World Buddhist Forum. The building mixes Chinese temple form with European and Indian references and houses a gilded central hall with a domed ceiling covered in murals, carved wooden screens and a large theatre.
Inside, visitors walk through galleries of sculpture, jade and gold work, and regular music performances are held in the main hall; the day's schedule is posted at the entrance.
The palace is included in the Lingshan through ticket. Plan about an hour inside and combine it with the Grand Buddha and fountain show in one visit.
