Jingliu Road is one of the established evening districts in Jinshui District, Zhengzhou, the capital of Henan province in central China. The area groups bars, clubs and late-night venues along and around Jingliu Road, and it has long served as an alternative to the newer Nongke Road strip. The crowd is predominantly local, made up of young professionals, students and groups celebrating birthdays, with ages mostly between the early twenties and mid-thirties. Dress is casual to smart-casual, and clubs may refuse entry to anyone in beachwear or flip-flops. The atmosphere is typical of a Chinese provincial-capital nightlife zone: bars with dice games and group tables in the early evening, then louder DJ-led rooms after 22:00. Music at the clubs is mainly commercial electronic, hip-hop and Mandarin pop remixes, while the bars lean towards pop covers and playlists. Drinks follow the usual local pattern, with bottled beer, whisky and brandy sold by the bottle with tea or soft-drink mixers, and cocktails at moderate prices. Cover charges at clubs are typically around ¥50-150 (~$7.50-22), and the fee often includes a drink or credit, though this varies by venue and night, so it should be verified at the door. Opening hours are evenings until late, with most venues busiest on Friday and Saturday and quieter from Sunday to Wednesday. Group tables and bottle packages are the norm for larger parties and can be reserved through WeChat or by phone; solo visitors and pairs can usually stand at the bar or take a small table without booking. Payment is almost entirely by Alipay and WeChat Pay. Because individual venues open, close and rebrand frequently, visitors should check current listings on the Amap or Dianping apps before travelling. The district is reachable by taxi or ride-hailing app, which is the practical choice for the return trip after the metro closes.
