Guangxi Science and Technology Museum

The Guangxi Science and Technology Museum sits on Minzu Avenue in Qingxiu District, directly opposite Minzu Square Station, and is the region's main hands-on science centre. Interactive exhibition halls cover physics, aerospace, robotics, and Guangxi's industrial development, with hands-on stations that let visitors trigger demonstrations rather than simply read display panels. A planetarium and a dedicated children's science area supplement the main halls, and rotating temporary exhibitions bring in travelling science displays several times a year. A visit typically runs two to three hours, enough to work through the main interactive halls and catch a planetarium show if the schedule allows. The building's angular, glass-fronted exterior on Minzu Square is a recognisable modern landmark and photographs well from the square outside. Because daily tickets are issued on a quota basis against identification, the museum can sell out its capacity on weekends and during school holidays; weekday mornings during term time see far lower demand and shorter waits at the more popular interactive stations.
