Arusha Coffee Lodge

The &Beyond Arusha Coffee Lodge is a luxury boutique property set within a working arabica coffee estate on the lower slopes of Mount Meru, approximately 2 kilometres from Arusha town centre. Its position makes it one of the most convenient upmarket bases for the Northern Tanzania safari circuit, with Kilimanjaro International Airport around 55 kilometres to the east and direct road access to Arusha National Park, Tarangire, Lake Manyara, the Ngorongoro Crater, and the Serengeti. The lodge occupies a Victorian-era coffee farm that was adapted by &Beyond in the early 2000s into a full-service luxury property. Original stone farm buildings anchor the public spaces, including a library lounge and The Coffee House restaurant, while the gardens have been developed into a lush estate setting with hedged pathways between the accommodation blocks. Seventeen plantation suites and six private cottages are finished with polished hardwood floors, four-poster beds, high-thread-count linens, deep soaking bathtubs, and private verandahs overlooking rows of arabica coffee trees. The aesthetic blends colonial farmhouse character with contemporary East African craftsmanship and warm-toned textiles.

Dining centres on The Coffee House, a glass-and-timber pavilion serving contemporary Tanzanian and international cuisine, with produce sourced partly from the estate and surrounding farms. Breakfast is an elaborate spread of fresh tropical fruit, egg stations, and pastries. Sundowners are taken on the terrace or in the library, and private in-suite dining is available on request.

Wellness facilities include a spa offering massage and body treatments, a heated swimming pool surrounded by coffee trees, and a fitness room. Guided coffee tours take guests through the full arabica production cycle, from cherry harvest to milling and cupping session.
