A small town beach on the south side of Ibiza Town, backed by apartments and cafes, with a short walk to the port.
Platja de ses Figueretes is the Ibiza Town beach nearest to the centre on the south side, a short curved strip of coarse sand and pebble backed by a promenade of cafes and low apartment blocks. It is not a wild beach, but it is convenient and cheap: visitors staying in the old town can walk here in about 25 minutes. The sea is usually calm and the water clean enough for a swim, though rocky patches at the edges mean water shoes help. In the evening the promenade fills with locals and the beach is a popular place for an informal sunset drink. It is a good first-day beach because it needs no transport and has restaurants and showers close by.
