A wide sand beach inside the Ses Salines natural park with clear water and beach bars.
Platja de ses Salines is the best known sand beach in the south, part of the Ses Salines natural park that protects the salt pans and the pine woods behind them. The sand is pale and the water is shallow and clear, running from a lively northern end with beach bars to quieter stretches toward Es Cavallet. Beach clubs such as Sa Trinxa play music through the afternoon, and the car park fills early in July and August. Behind the dunes the pans attract flamingos and other waders outside the swimming season. The beach is about 10 km from Ibiza Town, with a seasonal bus line, and the water is warm enough for swimming from June to September.
