A wide sandy bay on the west coast with shallow water, resort facilities and good sunsets.
Cala Tarida is a long, shallow sandy bay on the west coast with a resort village behind the sand, a row of restaurants and cafes, and a lifeguard in season. The sea is calm and the slope gentle, which suits families and weaker swimmers, and boat trips and watersports leave from the beach. Rocky headlands at each end give shade and snorkelling spots. The sunsets are some of the best on the west side. In high season the beach is busy but large enough to find space, and bus lines connect it with Sant Antoni and Ibiza Town.
