Alentejo nightlife is modest and unhurried by design — the region has no club scene to speak of, and evenings revolve around wine bars, adegas (tavern-style wine cellars) and, in summer, the beach-club scene of Comporta on the coast.
Quiet and wine-led. Évora has the region's best concentration of wine bars and enotecas around its historic centre. Reguengos de Monsaraz and other wine towns have tavern culture built around local adegas. Comporta's beach clubs bring a livelier, more cosmopolitan crowd from June to September.
