The red Wejherowski trail runs 55 km from Sopot's Kamienny Potok district through the forests of the Tricity Landscape Park toward Wejherowo, passing the Zagórska Struga valley and several lakes.
The Tricity Landscape Park covers 199.3 km2 across Gdańsk, Gdynia, Sopot and neighbouring municipalities in Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland, and was established on 3 May 1979. It contains 10 nature reserves. The red Wejherowski trail begins in Kamienny Potok in Sopot and runs 55 km through the Wejherowo-Chylonia forests and the Zagórska Struga valley, passing lakes Zawiat, Wygoda Wyspowo and Pałsznik before reaching Wejherowo. A second long trail, the black Zagórskie Strugi route, is 57 km and starts near St. Maximilian Hill in Gdynia. Most visitors walk sections of 12-20 km rather than the full length. The terrain is hilly, with forest dirt tracks and steep, muddy descents after rain. The area lies beside a metropolitan area of more than a million residents, yet it feels remote in places.
