There is no alcohol and no bar on the promenade; refreshment comes from roadside stalls selling chana chaat, corn on the cob, ice cream, and bottled drinks, and from tea vendors working the sand with kettles. Entertainment is limited to camel and horse rides along the shore and impromptu cricket games rather than any music programme. The beach and promenade are technically accessible around the clock, but the real evening activity -- families spreading mats on the sand, food stalls setting up, and rides operating -- runs from around 4PM until 1AM, with weekend nights, especially Friday and Saturday, drawing noticeably larger crowds and staying busy later than weeknights. There is no cover charge for the beach itself; camel and horse rides and food are paid for individually and in cash, with no reservation system of any kind.
