Omi-Imazu Beach lies beside Imazu Port in Takashima City on Lake Biwa's northwest shore, functioning as much as a departure point for lake cruises as a standalone swimming spot. The shoreline is a modest strip of sand and paved waterfront rather than an expansive beach, with generally calm, clear water close to the port that suits casual swimming more than active watersports. Its position within the port area gives it some shelter from wind compared with the more open beaches further along the coast, though it lacks the scenic pine backdrop found at Makino Sunny Beach or Kaizu-Osaki.
