Hakuba Mominoki Hotel

Hakuba Mominoki Hotel occupies the lower slopes of the Happo-One ski area in Hakuba village, roughly 500 metres from the Happo-One gondola base station. The Happo-One ski area is the largest in Hakuba's interconnected resort network and was the primary alpine venue for the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics, giving it both heritage status and excellent lift infrastructure. In summer, the gondola switches to sightseeing mode and the upper slopes become hiking and mountain biking terrain.

The hotel's architecture reflects an older generation of Japanese ski lodge design — timber-heavy exteriors, multi-gabled rooflines, and an interior that prioritizes warmth over sleek minimalism.
