Hakuba Alpine Hotel is a mid-range ski and mountain hotel in Hakuba village, approximately 4 km from Hakuba Happo-One Ski Resort's main gondola base and 800 metres from Hakuba Station on the JR Oito Line, which connects south to Matsumoto in 70 minutes and north toward Itoigawa for Hokuriku Shinkansen transfers. The hotel operates year-round, serving ski-season visitors from December through March and summer hikers and cyclists who use Hakuba as a staging point for the Northern Alps, including Happo-One's alpine trail network and the route across the Karamatsu-dake ridge. The building is a straightforward modern structure organised around a central reception area with an adjoining common lounge; rooms are standard hotel format with en-suite bathrooms, twin or double beds, and in-room amenities including satellite television, air conditioning, and individual climate control. A Japanese-Western buffet breakfast is available; dinner is not provided on room-only rates, though several restaurants in the Hakuba village centre are within a 10-minute walk or short taxi ride.
