President Park Hotel

President Park Hotel is a four-star hotel at Via Vampolieri 49 in Aci Trezza, part of the municipality of Aci Castello, on the Ionian coast north of Catania, Sicily, Italy. It is not in central Catania: Aci Trezza is a separate fishing village roughly ten kilometres from the city, reached by road or bus along the coast. The village is known for its small fishing harbour and the Isole dei Ciclopi, the basalt sea stacks and islets just offshore that, according to Homeric legend, were hurled by the blinded Polyphemus at Odysseus. The rocks are visible from the waterfront and are the focus of a protected marine area, with boat trips and snorkelling available in the warm months. The author Giovanni Verga set his novel I Malavoglia here, giving the village a literary association. The nearby Aci Castello has a Norman castle built on a lava promontory, a short drive away.
