Hyderabad Nightlife Guide 2026

The night-time map of Hyderabad: where locals drink, where the music is, and what it costs.

The short answer: start with Prost Brew Pub, Zero40 Brewing and Olive Bistro and Bar. This guide profiles 9+ bars and nightlife spots in Hyderabad, with prices, timing, and the practical notes that decide whether each one earns a place in your plan.

Hyderabad is the capital of Telangana, a 16th-century Qutb Shahi city of pearls, palaces, and biryani that is now also one of India's biggest technology and film-making hubs. Charminar and the Laad Bazaar bangle lanes, Golconda Fort, and the Nizams' Chowmahalla Palace sit within a short ride of the glass towers of Hitech City.

Hyderabad has a fast-growing bar and brewpub scene, concentrated in Jubilee Hills (Road No. 36 to Road No. 45), Banjara Hills, the Hitech City and Madhapur corridor and Gachibowli. The Old City is largely alcohol-free and devout, and its 'nightlife' means late-night food and Irani chai around Charminar rather than pubs. Under Telangana excise rules, bars and pubs generally stop serving at around 23:00 to 23:30 and close by about midnight to 01:00, though hotel bars and licensed venues can hold different permissions and timings change with the annual licence renewal. The legal drinking age is 21.

Hyderabad's scene is more brewpub, rooftop and live-music than mega-club. Jubilee Hills has the densest cluster of craft-beer bars and lounges; Gachibowli and Kondapur draw the IT crowd to sports bars and brewpubs; Banjara Hills has hotel bars and upscale lounges. Weeknights are quiet and weekends are busy from about 20:00, so reservations are advisable on Fridays and Saturdays. Alcohol is not served on dry days such as Republic Day, Independence Day, Gandhi Jayanti and polling days. Non-alcoholic nights out are popular too, with Irani cafes, biryani and haleem restaurants and late-night food at Charminar, Tank Bund and Necklace Road.

At a glance

Peak hours
Bars fill from about 20:00 and peak between 21:00 and 23:00, with last orders typically between 23:00 and 00:30 depending on the venue and licence. The Charminar night food lanes peak from 22:00 to 01:00 and stay open later during Ramzan.
Average drink
A pint of craft beer in Jubilee Hills costs ₹300-500 (~$3-5); cocktails are ₹500-900 (~$5-9) in mid-range bars and ₹800-1,500 (~$8-16) in five-star hotel bars. A typical bar meal for two with drinks is ₹1,500-3,500 (~$16-36). Prices are subject to state excise duties and change frequently. Irani chai is ₹15-30 (~$0.15-0.30).
Dress code
Hyderabad nightlife is smart casual. Brewpubs and bars accept jeans, shorts and sneakers, while clubs and rooftop lounges generally require closed shoes, no sleeveless vests or flip-flops and no sports jerseys. Modest dress helps in Old City food streets.
Cover charge
Hyderabad's excise licences are renewed every year and rules on hours can change, so timings, opening status and cover policies may differ from what is published here. Several venues listed by online directories have closed or rebranded, so verify a venue on Google Maps or its Instagram page the same day before making the trip. The Old City is largely dry and conservative, so plan drinks in Jubilee Hills, Banjara Hills, Hitech City or Gachibowli.
