Haoledi KTV (好乐迪KTV) Zhifu is a branch of a nationwide karaoke chain located near Nan Dajie in downtown Zhifu District, Yantai, Shandong, close to the South Avenue shopping strip. Rather than a conventional dancefloor club, the venue is built around private karaoke rooms rented by the hour, and functions as the closest equivalent Yantai has to a nightclub scene; the crowd is mostly groups of friends, coworkers and students in their late teens through thirties, with an energetic, informal atmosphere and no fixed dress code. The 'music programme' is guest-driven karaoke rather than DJ sets or live performance: each room has its own song system with a large catalogue spanning Mandopop, Cantopop, and a selection of English-language hits, so the sound and energy of any given room depends entirely on the group inside it. There is no drinks list in the conventional bar sense; snacks and drinks, including beer, spirits and soft drinks, are ordered from a room-service menu and delivered directly to the room. The venue operates daily from around 14:00 to 02:00, with afternoon and early-evening slots priced lower than the peak evening hours; weekend nights, particularly Friday and Saturday, are considerably busier than weekdays and often require booking ahead. There is no cover charge to enter the building, but rooms are billed by the hour based on room size and time slot, with rates rising during peak weekend evening hours; advance reservations by phone are recommended for weekend groups, since rooms can fill quickly. Larger groups should call ahead to confirm a room of the right size is available.
