The overall feel is closer to a suburban leisure park than the manicured, tourist-oriented gardens found closer to the Bell Tower, and it draws a mostly local crowd rather than international visitors. Facilities are more spread out and less polished than at Xingqing Palace Park or Qujiang Pool, and the seasonal water attractions vary from year to year, so checking current operating status before a special trip is worthwhile. Reaching the park requires taking Subway Line 2 to Weiyang Square Station and then a taxi or local bus for the final stretch, since the lake itself sits a distance from the nearest subway stop.
