The most famous feature is the Octave Valley, a winding rock channel where the stream makes sounds said to resemble musical tones. The Kangxi and Qianlong emperors both visited, and Beijing's Xiequ Yuan garden in the Summer Palace was modelled on it.

The garden is quieter than larger parks and works as a one-hour stop in a Huishan route.
