Honey Lake Park

Honey Lake Park (Mi Hu Park) is a landscaped lake park in Futian District built around a central reservoir lined with willow trees, flower beds, and paved walking paths. The park is known locally for its seasonal flower displays, particularly plum blossoms in late winter and a summer lotus display on the lake's shallower edges, drawing photographers during those windows. A small amusement area on one side of the lake offers paddleboats and a handful of family rides priced separately from the free general admission, making the park a mix of quiet nature walk and light amusement outing. A loop of the lake on foot takes about an hour, or up to two hours with a paddleboat ride and a stop at the flower gardens. Weekend mornings are the best time for the flower displays, when the light is soft and the gardens are freshly watered, though this is also when local families turn out in the largest numbers for the paddleboats. Weekday visits are quieter throughout. The lakeside pavilions and the arched bridge crossing the narrower section of the lake are the most photographed spots. The park sits directly beside Honey Lake metro station, making it an easy short stop between other Futian District sights such as Lianhuashan Park or Shenzhen Museum.
