Hotel L'Auberge stands on Avenida Pedragosa Sierra facing Playa Brava, the Atlantic-facing beach on the eastern side of the Punta del Este peninsula known for its stronger surf and more dramatic scenery than the calmer Playa Mansa. The property sits near Parada 2 Brava, roughly 300 metres from the iconic Mano en la Arena sculpture that has become the visual symbol of Punta del Este. The hotel's boutique scale — just 23 suites spread across two low-rise wings — sets it distinctly apart from the high-rise resorts clustered elsewhere on the peninsula.

Each suite is generously proportioned and opens onto a private terrace with ocean views; décor runs to whitewashed walls, natural linen fabrics, and rattan accents that give the interiors a relaxed Mediterranean feel. Junior suites offer garden terraces while ocean-view suites face Playa Brava directly. All accommodation features minibar, air conditioning, in-room safe, and satellite television.

The restaurant serves a daily Mediterranean-leaning à la carte menu for lunch and dinner, with locally sourced fish, grilled meats, and seasonal vegetables. The pool deck is positioned at the front of the building, providing panoramic views over the Atlantic and the distant silhouette of Isla Gorriti at sunset. Limited spa treatments — massage, body scrubs — are offered on request through the concierge.

Service throughout is personalised and attentive; the small team knows most guests by name within a day of arrival. The hotel does not host weddings, conferences, or large groups, maintaining a quiet and refined atmosphere throughout the season. A minimum-stay requirement commonly applies during January and Carnival week.
