The Köyceğiz Market and Boat Breakfast is a half-day food and nature experience that pairs the Saturday farmers' market of Köyceğiz town with a traditional Turkish breakfast served on the calm waters of Köyceğiz Lake. Arranged through local boat operators at the Köyceğiz harbour in Muğla province, the experience is informal by design: boats and prices are negotiated directly at the dock, with no fixed-itinerary operator managing the group, giving participants a genuinely local rhythm rather than a packaged tour.

The experience begins at Köyceğiz Pazar, the weekly Saturday market held along the lakeside promenade. Vendors from surrounding villages bring seasonal produce including locally dried herbs, citrus, pomegranates, hand-spun olive-oil soap (the Köyceğiz region produces its own natural cosmetics and borders the Dalyan area), pickled vegetables, honeys, and dried figs. Spending 45–60 minutes at the market before boat departure allows visitors to observe the social activity that draws locals from across the district.

Boats depart from the Köyceğiz harbour and navigate out onto the lake, which covers roughly 52 square kilometres and is fed by freshwater springs and the Namnam Stream. The breakfast spread is laid out on the boat deck as the vessel moves to a quiet anchorage away from the harbour noise. A Turkish breakfast in this context means a wide selection of items: fresh bread, white cheese (beyaz peynir), kaymak (clotted cream), honeys, olives, sliced tomatoes and cucumbers, eggs prepared to order, and tea served continuously from a çaydanlık (double-stacked kettle).
