Akçakoca Palace Hotel

Akçakoca Palace Hotel stands on the seafront promenade of Akçakoca, a small Black Sea resort town 45 kilometres north of Düzce. Akçakoca occupies a narrow coastal strip backed by forested hills, with a sandy and pebble shoreline, a working fishing harbour, and a compact town centre retaining some traditional Ottoman-period wooden houses. The hotel is among the larger properties in town, occupying a multi-storey seafront building whose upper-floor rooms command direct views across the Black Sea.

Three room types are available: standard sea-view doubles with balconies facing north toward the water, superior rooms with larger balconies and upgraded furnishings, and family suites with a separate sleeping area accommodating four guests. Interior rooms face the town and are quieter during peak summer weekends. The hotel restaurant specialises in Black Sea fish cookery—hamsi (anchovies), palamut (bonito), and lüfer (bluefish) feature prominently during the autumn–winter fishing season alongside standard Turkish mezes and grilled meat options year-round. A seasonal outdoor pool operates from June through September, and guests have direct access to a private beach stretch adjacent to the building. Breakfasts are buffet style with a notably good selection of regional Black Sea dairy: local butter, kaymak (clotted cream), and fresh cheeses alongside the standard Turkish spread.

The hotel suits summer beach holidaymakers from Düzce and Istanbul (about 2.5 hours by motorway), autumn travellers following the Black Sea fish migration, and couples or families seeking a mild off-season coastal break in winter.
