About Bilecik
Bilecik Province covers 4,179 km² of northwest Anatolia and encompasses eight districts including Söğüt, Bozüyük, and Osmaneli. The provincial capital, Bilecik city, sits at around 540 m elevation between the Sakarya and Karasu rivers. Historically, the region was part of the Byzantine frontier before becoming the nucleus of Ottoman expansion in the 13th–14th centuries.
