Hospedería Señorío de Briñas is a boutique rural hotel housed in an 18th-century manor house in the small village of Briñas, located in the Rioja Alta subzone 45 km northwest of Logroño and 5 km from Haro, the historical capital of Rioja wine production. The stone manor was built for a local noble family, and its original features — thick sandstone walls, carved wooden balconies, a cobblestone inner courtyard, and a vaulted wine cellar — have been preserved alongside modern plumbing, in-room climate control, and flat-screen televisions. Classic rooms are furnished with period or period-reproduction pieces, embroidered linens, and views over either the walled manor garden or the surrounding vine-covered hillsides. Superior rooms are larger, with separate dressing areas; Suites occupy the most desirable positions with private terraces and views toward the Ebro valley and the Sierra Cantabria range. An outdoor pool set within the walled garden operates from late May to September. A terrace bar serves wines drawn from the Rioja Alta producers of Haro — just a few minutes by car — including bottles from historic bodegas such as Muga, La Rioja Alta, and López de Heredia. Structured wine tastings are organised for guests on request and can include guided visits to prominent Haro bodegas that rank among the most historically significant in the denomination. The hospedería is strongly oriented toward couples and independent travellers seeking an authentic rural Rioja experience in surroundings that retain genuine historic character without sacrificing modern comfort. A car is essential; the village has no public transport of note.
