The Generalife is the summer palace and garden of the Nasrid sultans, on the hill next to the Alhambra in Granada, Andalusia, Spain. Its Patio de la Acequia, with a long water channel lined by fountains and flower beds, is the most photographed spot. Entry is via the Alhambra ticket; the Generalife is included in the general Alhambra ticket and in the Gardens ticket. Spring flowers peak in April and May. The garden is open daily and gets busy at midday. Reflections in the water make photos best in the morning and late afternoon. Tripods are subject to rules, so check the Alhambra site.
