Granada travel guide — where to stay, what to do, and where to eat in Granada, Andalusia, Spain.

Granada's nightlife is built on its free-tapa tradition: drinks come with food, so evenings start with bar-hopping along Calle Navas, Campo del Príncipe and Calle Elvira from about 20:00. Late bars fill from 23:00, students pack Calle Pedro Antonio de Alarcón until about 02:00 and clubs stay open until 06:00. Teterías on Calle Calderería Nueva serve tea into the evening, and the Sacromonte caves host nightly zambra flamenco shows.

The scene is student-led, relaxed and cheap. Traditional bodegas, Moroccan tea rooms, cave flamenco and live-music venues sit side by side. Thursday to Saturday are busiest; clubs are secondary to bar culture. In summer, rooftops and terraces in Campo del Príncipe and the Albaicín draw the biggest crowds.
