April-May: Beautiful as parks and forests come to life. Paths may be muddy after snow melt in early April. Kolomenskoye apple orchards spectacular in May.

☀️ Summer

June-August: Best conditions with everything in full bloom, warm temperatures, long daylight hours. Mosquitoes in wetland areas (bring repellent). Tick season May-July in forests.

🍂 Fall

September-October: Spectacular autumn colors, especially in oak forests of Izmailovo and Kolomenskoye. Cool comfortable temperatures ideal for hiking. Mushroom foraging season.

❄️ Winter

November-March: Winter hiking possible with proper footwear. Many parks have groomed cross-country ski trails. Losiny Ostrov beautiful in snow. Dress very warmly.
