Böate

Böate is a late-night club at Rua do Favilla 7 in the Lido area of Funchal, on the island of Madeira, Portugal. The Lido district lies on the western seafront, beyond the main hotel zone, and has long been associated with beach-front promenades, swimming complexes and hotels. The club operates only at weekends and on holiday eves, which gives it the character of a destination night out rather than an everyday bar.

The crowd is mostly in the twenties and thirties and includes residents, hotel guests from the Lido hotels and people continuing from earlier bars in the city. The atmosphere is energetic and focused on dancing, with the heaviest crowds arriving after midnight. Dress is smart-casual to club wear; closed shoes are the safe choice, and sportswear or beachwear may not pass the door. Visitors should bring photo identification.

Music is led by DJs and centres on club and dance sounds, though specific residencies and genres were not confirmed and may change by night. The drinks programme follows the usual club pattern of beer, spirits with mixers, cocktails and shots. Prices are mid-range for Funchal and rise slightly compared with the old-town bars.

The busiest hours generally fall between 1AM and 4AM. Visitors who prefer a quieter evening can start at the Zona Velha bars and move to the club once it fills.
