Florasol Residence Hotel

Florasol Residence Hotel is a three-star apartment-style hotel in the Hotel Zone of Funchal, known as the Lido or São Martinho area, on the southern coast of Madeira, Portugal. The address, Estrada Monumental 306, places it on the main coastal road through the western seafront district, near the Lido promenade and sea-swimming areas, with the city centre reached by bus, taxi or a longer walk. The property belongs to the Dorisol group and has a practical, family-oriented holiday character, with self-catering flexibility rather than a luxury finish. Listed accommodation includes studios with a kitchenette and one-bedroom apartments, each with private balconies, giving guests extra space and the option to prepare their own meals. Standout amenities include an outdoor pool, a children's pool, kitchenettes, private balconies, a restaurant, a games room, free wifi and a 24-hour front desk. The two pools make the hotel suitable for families with young children, and the games room offers indoor entertainment on cooler or wet days. Dining is available at the on-site restaurant, while kitchenettes allow breakfast and light meals to be prepared in the room, and nearby supermarkets and restaurants add choice. The 24-hour front desk helps with late arrivals and early departures, and staff can assist with excursions and transfers. Service is simple and friendly, matching the moderate price bracket. With a rating of 3.7, the hotel is positioned as a value option rather than a premium one. It suits families and longer-stay visitors who want pools, balconies and kitchen facilities in the Hotel Zone, while travellers seeking refined design, a spa or Old Town atmosphere may prefer another property. The Estrada Monumental is a busy road, so noise-sensitive guests may request a room away from it.
