Dorisol Estrelícia Hotel

Dorisol Estrelícia Hotel is a hotel in the Hotel Zone of Funchal, known as the Lido or São Martinho area, on the southern coast of Madeira, Portugal. The address, Rua da Casa Branca 98, places it in the western part of the city among a cluster of Dorisol properties, with the Lido promenade and coastal paths within reach and the city centre accessible by bus, taxi or a longer walk. The hotel is a simple, family-oriented holiday property, and its character is practical and budget-conscious rather than luxurious, aimed at guests who want pools and sports facilities at a modest price. Listed room types include double rooms, triple rooms, and rooms with or without a balcony, so group size and outlook are the main choices. Standout amenities include a tennis court, an outdoor adult pool, a children's pool, a heated indoor pool, free wi-fi and access to the services of the wider Dorisol complex. The heated indoor pool allows swimming through the cooler months, while the outdoor pools and tennis court serve summer leisure, and access to complex services extends facilities such as dining and entertainment, which should be confirmed with the hotel. Triple rooms make the property suitable for small families and groups. Service is straightforward and friendly, matching the lower price bracket. With a rating of 3.0, the hotel is positioned as a basic option, and guests expecting upscale finishes or a spa should look at other Hotel Zone properties. It offers good value for visitors who spend most of the day outdoors, exploring Madeira or using the pools and promenade. Light sleepers should ask about room positions, as group holiday hotels can be lively in summer.
