Slide & Splash Water Park

Slide & Splash sits inland between Lagoa and Portimão in the central Algarve and ranks among the largest water parks in Portugal, with more than 20 slides and attractions spread across a landscaped site including a large wave pool used for splash sessions throughout the day. Marquee rides include the steep, dark-enclosed Black Hole and the high-speed Kamikaze slide, aimed at older children and adults seeking thrills, while a dedicated area with gentler slides and a shallow pool caters to younger children. The park also runs periodic animal shows featuring birds of prey and sea lions, giving visitors a break from the water attractions during the day. A full visit typically takes four to six hours to work through the main slides, the wave pool and a show or two, and the park is at its calmest in the first hour after opening and the last hour before closing, when the more popular slides have shorter queues. Weekday visits, particularly outside the July and August peak, see noticeably shorter lines than weekends. Visitors bring their own towels, as none are provided, though lockers are available for a small fee to secure belongings while using the rides.
