The Pomeranian Voivodeship (Pomorskie) is Poland's Baltic coast region, centred on the Tricity of Gdańsk, Sopot and Gdynia. It combines Gdańsk's rebuilt Hanseatic Main Town, the Teutonic fortress of Malbork, the sandy Hel Peninsula, the moving dunes of Słowiński National Park and the lake-studded villages of Kashubia and Kociewie.
The Tri-City (Gdańsk, Sopot, Gdynia) has the liveliest nightlife in Pomerania. Gdańsk is stronger for brewery pubs, bars and live music, while Sopot is the usual choice for mainstream clubs and seafront parties. Rural Kashubia and the Hel Peninsula are quiet outside summer.
Old Town cellar pubs and microbreweries, shipyard-district concert halls and container bars, and Sopot's Monte Cassino Street and pier area in summer. Prices are moderate by Western European standards.
