Rooms are significantly more comfortable than the town's basic campements, featuring private bathrooms with locally tiled finishes, proper beds with quality linen, and ceiling fans. A terrace on the upper level offers views across the rooftops toward the ancient mosque tower and the encroaching dunes to the south. The on-site restaurant prepares full Mauritanian meals — slow-cooked lamb tagine, millet couscous, fresh flatbread — and the kitchen accommodates dietary requests with advance notice. There is no swimming pool or spa. The management maintains a roster of experienced local guides who lead half-day and full-day excursions: visits to the ancient manuscript library, dune crossings by camel or 4x4, and tours of the old quarter's historic streets.
