Forest Adventure Chichibu Tree-Top Course

Forest Adventure Chichibu is a tree-top obstacle and zipline course set among the wooded hillside of Chichibu Muse Park in Chichibu, Saitama, part of a nationwide chain of forest adventure parks. Multiple courses of increasing height and difficulty link wooden platforms built around living trees with rope bridges, cargo nets, swinging logs, and zipline runs through the forest canopy, letting participants progress from easier low courses to longer, higher zipline sections. Reasonable upper-body and grip strength helps on the harder obstacles, but no climbing background is required since every course is a self-guided, continuously clipped system after an initial ground briefing; most sites set a minimum height requirement (commonly around 110–140cm depending on course) rather than a strict age limit. A full-body harness, helmet, and a continuous belay/pulley system are provided, with gloves supplied or available to rent, and closed-toe athletic shoes are mandatory. Forest Adventure operates its parks to a standardised French-origin (Accrobranche) safety system used across its Japan locations, with staff trained to supervise entry points and respond to a stuck or hesitant participant. The mandatory pre-course briefing covers how the continuous safety line clips work at each transition point, self-rescue basics, and how to signal staff if assistance is needed mid-course. The park runs from March through November, with some elevated sections closed during high wind, heavy rain, or icy winter conditions. Long hair must be tied back and loose clothing avoided to prevent it from catching on equipment.
