Sofitel Spa occupies the wellness floor of the Sofitel Abidjan Hôtel Ivoire, the landmark hotel on Boulevard Hassan II in Cocody overlooking the Ébrié Lagoon. At roughly 840 square metres it is the largest single spa facility in Abidjan, holding five treatment rooms, a hammam, a steam room and a heated indoor pool fitted with massaging hydrojets, with a poolside patio for relaxation between treatments. The setting pairs Cocody's lagoon views with a French luxury-hotel finish, giving the space a formal, urban day-spa atmosphere rather than a rustic retreat feel. Treatments are built around the Cinq Mondes and Gemology product lines, spanning European, Balinese and Japanese traditions: Balinese massage and deep-tissue work sit alongside a Japanese Kobido lifting facial, Ayurvedic-influenced body rituals, hammam and body-scrub packages, and a manicure and pedicure menu. The hammam and steam-room circuit draws on North African bathing traditions adapted for a hotel setting, notable given Côte d'Ivoire's own limited hammam tradition outside hotel spas. Therapists are trained to the Sofitel group's international spa standards, and the size of the operation gives it a deeper treatment menu than any freestanding Abidjan spa. Facilities extend beyond the treatment rooms to the steam room, hammam and the heated indoor pool with hydrojets, which non-residents can use as part of a spa package or separately by arrangement with the hotel. There is no dormitory or retreat-style accommodation; visitors either stay at the Hôtel Ivoire or come for the day. Booking is by reservation rather than walk-in, particularly for weekend slots and for the more elaborate Cinq Mondes rituals, and the front desk can build a treatment-and-pool package for a half day. Non-residents are welcome but should call ahead, since treatment rooms are shared with hotel guests. The spa operates daily from 09:00 to 21:00, and treatments run from about 60 to 150 minutes depending on the ritual chosen.
