Pisa's seaside districts on the Tyrrhenian coast: Marina di Pisa at the mouth of the Arno and Tirrenia with long sandy beaches.
Marina di Pisa lies where the Arno meets the Tyrrhenian Sea and has a seafront promenade with Liberty-style villas. Tirrenia, to the south, is a purpose-built resort with wide sandy beaches and pine woods behind them. Both are the closest sea beaches to Pisa and are reached by bus in about half an hour. Public stretches are free, while many beach clubs offer sunbeds, showers and restaurants in the season. The coast is also close to the San Rossore park.
