Via Garibaldi, originally the Strada Nuova, is a street in the Centro Storico of Genoa, Liguria, Italy, laid out in the 16th century as an exclusive address for the city's banking families. Its Renaissance and Baroque palaces are part of the Rolli system, the register of grand private residences that hosted state visitors of the Republic of Genoa, and the street is part of the UNESCO World Heritage listing for Genoa's Le Strade Nuove and the system of the Palazzi dei Rolli.

The street is short and straight, a rarity in the medieval maze around it, and walking it is the main activity. Visitors admire the carved portals, painted and stuccoed facades and, where doors are open, courtyards, loggias and monumental stairways that often hold nymphaeums and gardens. Three palaces form the municipal museum group: Palazzo Rosso, Palazzo Bianco and Palazzo Doria-Tursi, which together hold major art collections. A combined museum ticket costs about EUR 9, with free entry for EU citizens under 18, and bookings can be arranged on +39 010 2759185. Palazzo Rosso also has a rooftop viewpoint reached by lift at the end of a guided visit.

Walking the street takes about an hour, and with museum visits a half day or more. The street is open at all times, and the palaces keep individual hours. Several open their doors for free during the Rolli Days weekends, which in 2026 were held 16 to 18 October, giving access to private interiors rarely seen otherwise.

The street is about ten minutes on foot from De Ferrari metro station. Mornings are quiet and the best time for photographing the facades without crowds; Rolli Days weekends are busy but offer the widest access. Evening light is atmospheric but the palaces are closed.
