The hotel is a small, independently operated property built into the ancient sassi structure. Cave rooms retain the original tufa stone walls, curved ceilings, and handcut rock surfaces of the historic dwellings; the rooms are lit by warm-toned lighting to enhance the atmosphere of the stone. Unlike some larger cave hotels that strip out all modern amenities in favour of austerity, the Terrazzo sul Sasso provides air conditioning and Wi-Fi as standard, combining historic atmosphere with functional comfort.
