Apulia's nightlife is centred on the evening passeggiata culture — locals don't go 'out out' before midnight. Bari has the most diverse scene with wine bars, cocktail bars, and a handful of clubs. Lecce has a vibrant student nightlife in the historic centre. In summer, Salento transforms into one of Italy's hottest party destinations — the Notte della Taranta festival drives enormous open-air events, and beach clubs stay open until dawn. In smaller towns like Alberobello and Ostuni, evenings are peaceful aperitivo affairs.
The Apulian night follows a clear rhythm: aperitivo starts at 18:30–20:00 (a drink plus free snacks), dinner follows at 20:30–22:30, and the social scene moves to bars and piazzas from 23:00. Clubs open at midnight but fill after 1 AM. Beach clubs (lidi) in Salento double as clubs July–August.

The 19th-century grid city around Via Sparano and Piazza Umberto I has Bari's best cocktail bars and wine bars. Via Cairoli, Via Argiro, and Via Robert Koch all have vibrant outdoor seating May–October.

In July–August, the Ionian coast between Lecce and Santa Maria di Leuca becomes one of Italy's most vibrant summer party zones. Beach clubs transition to all-night disco lidi from 23:00.
