The Qutb Shahi Tombs stand in Ibrahim Bagh, about 1.5 km north of Golconda Fort in Hyderabad, Telangana, and hold the mausoleums of the rulers of the Qutb Shahi dynasty who governed the Deccan from the sixteenth to the seventeenth century. The complex has seven principal royal tombs together with smaller tombs, mosques and a hammam, set in landscaped gardens.

Seven Qutb Shahi royal tombs and mosques in Persian-Indian domed style set in landscaped gardens 1.5 km north of Golconda Fort. Restored by the Aga Khan Trust for Culture with the Telangana government and now a heritage park.

Each large tomb sits on a raised square platform beneath a bulbous dome, with pointed arches, carved stone and remnants of coloured tilework and stucco in the Persian-Indian style. The tombs of Sultan Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah, who founded Hyderabad, and of Abdullah Qutb Shah are among the most imposing. Visitors walk the shaded pathways between the monuments, step inside to see the simple cenotaphs, and climb some platforms for views across the gardens. The site was restored by the Aga Khan Trust for Culture together with the Telangana government and now operates as a heritage park, with lawns, water features and interpretation boards. Good photographs come from the central axial path, from the platform of the largest tombs late in the afternoon, and from angles that frame the domes against the sky. A visit takes about one and a half to two hours. The park is quiet on weekday mornings and busier on weekends and holidays, when families and school groups arrive. Admission is INR 20 for Indian nationals and INR 200 for foreign visitors, with children under 12 free, and the site is closed on Fridays. The grounds are five minutes by auto or cab from Golconda Fort, so the two are often combined. Because the park has limited shade and few facilities, visitors are advised to bring water and a hat, and to arrive early in the day for the best light and the most peaceful walking.
