Day trip tips
Make the most of your excursions.
Start by 6:30-7:00 am to beat Hyderabad traffic; the ORR bypasses much of it
October to February is the comfortable season; April-June temperatures often exceed 40 C
Combine Pochampally, Bhongir and Yadadri into one eastern loop, and Warangal with Ramappa into one north-eastern day
Carry cash for temple queues, small entry fees and rural food stops; UPI works in most towns
Dress modestly for temples and remove footwear; some temples restrict photography inside
Srisailam and Nagarjuna Sagar work better as two-day trips; the Srisailam ghat closes at night
