UB City

UB City is a luxury retail, dining and office complex at 24 Vittal Mallya Road in central Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, close to the Central Business District and Cubbon Park. It is the city's best-known address for high-end shopping, housing international fashion labels, jewellery and accessories boutiques, alongside upscale restaurants and rooftop bars. The goods sold here differ sharply from those of a generic Bengaluru mall: the emphasis is on premium and designer brands rather than mass-market high-street fashion, and prices are correspondingly high. Because everything is sold by established brands with fixed prices, counterfeit goods and tourist trinkets are not a concern; visitors seeking handmade Karnataka crafts will not find them here and should look to Commercial Street or the state-run emporiums. Bargaining is not practised in the boutiques. Cards and UPI are accepted throughout, and payment is nearly always cashless. India has no general GST refund scheme for tourists, so shoppers should not expect a refund on luxury purchases. The atmosphere is polished and relatively quiet by Indian mall standards, with more browsing than buying on many afternoons, and the evening crowd shifts towards diners and drinkers as the restaurants and rooftop bars fill up. Dining is a central part of the visit: the complex is known for fine-dining restaurants, cafes and bars, ranging from relaxed daytime coffee stops to late-evening cocktail venues with skyline views. The complex is listed as open daily from about 11:00 to 22:00, an hour later to open than most malls, although restaurants and bars may keep their own hours. Vittal Mallya Road is reachable by taxi or app-based cab from anywhere in the city, and MG Road metro station is within a reasonable walk or short ride. UB City suits visitors interested in luxury browsing, a special-occasion meal or an evening drink rather than a bargain-hunting trip.
