Garuda Mall is a centrally located shopping mall on Magrath Road in Ashok Nagar, Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, a short distance from MG Road and Brigade Road. Its position in the heart of the city makes it one of the more convenient malls for visitors staying in the central business district or around Residency Road. The mall offers mainstream Indian and international brands in fashion, footwear, accessories and lifestyle products, along with a multiplex cinema and a food court. The mix leans towards everyday, mid-range retail rather than luxury, so prices are moderate by Bengaluru standards. Goods are branded and labelled, which means authenticity is not usually in question, but the mall is not the place for handmade Karnataka crafts, silk sarees or sandalwood items; those are better found at Commercial Street, the government emporiums on MG Road or the traditional markets. Bargaining is not customary inside the mall, where prices are fixed and discounts come from seasonal sales and festival offers. Card and UPI payments are accepted in nearly every store. India does not run a general GST refund scheme for tourists, so purchases here are not eligible for a refund at departure. The atmosphere is busy but manageable, with the heaviest crowds on weekend afternoons and evenings when the cinema is busiest, and much lighter footfall on weekday mornings. Food options include a food court with a range of quick-service and regional outlets, plus cafes and casual restaurants. The mall is listed as open daily from about 10:00 to 22:00. Its central location means that MG Road metro station and numerous bus routes are nearby, and taxis and auto-rickshaws are easy to find. Garuda Mall works well as a convenient, air-conditioned break during a day of sightseeing around Cubbon Park, MG Road and Brigade Road.
