Turahalli is a small protected forest of boulders and scrub on the southern edge of the city, used for weekday runs, bouldering and sunset walks. It is the easiest wild-feeling trail reachable within Bengaluru.
Turahalli Reserve Forest is a roughly 400-acre Karnataka Forest Department reserve off Kanakapura Road. It is open in daylight for walkers and runners, and boulders in the area are used by local climbers. Paths are informal and unlit, so it is best used in daytime. Access rules are set by the department and may limit night entry.
