Restaurant Stefanos is a seafood restaurant at Agios Ioannis beach on the east coast of the Pelion peninsula, in the Mouresi area of the Magnesia regional unit, Thessaly, Greece. Agios Ioannis is one of east Pelion's most popular beaches, a long pebble and sand shore backed by steep forested hillsides that descend directly from the peninsula's central ridge. Stefanos occupies a beachfront position that allows diners to eat with the sound of the Aegean immediately at hand and with direct access to the beach before or after the meal. The kitchen focuses on Mediterranean seafood cooked with minimal intervention to emphasise the quality of the fresh catch. Boiled crayfish, prepared with olive oil, lemon, and parsley, are among the freshest and most consistent offerings; crayfish are sourced from local traps and boat landings. Grilled snapper, served whole with charred lemon and herbs, is the kitchen's central fish preparation. A mixed seafood platter combining grilled prawns, calamari, octopus, and mussels provides a broad survey of what the Aegean supplies. Taramosalata, the traditional fish-roe dip prepared in-house, is served as a starter alongside fresh bread. The dining room operates in a covered terrace adjacent to the beach, with views across the northern Aegean toward the Sporades islands on clear days. The restaurant is seasonal, operating from May through October only, when beach tourism brings visitors to Agios Ioannis from Volos and from the coastal ferry routes. Walk-in service predominates; the informal beach setting suits spontaneous visits.
